Tinto del Mono
The design of this label for @micheliniwine09 takes one of the three monkeys known as “the three wise monkeys” or “the three mystic monkeys”. These characters of the Japanese culture mean “no see, no hear, no speak”. Even though the story does not specify what the monkeys don’t see, don’t hear or don’t speak, traditionally it has been understood as “see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil”. In this case, the represented monkey is the one who covers his eyes. However, as in a suspicious and mischievous game, this monkey does not really cover his eyes completely. That means that he sees part of the reality and creates the other one. Create our own reality.
The wonderful illustration is made by a great artist, PAT PERRY. “See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.”
